1.8 kg of Tumor Was Taken Out From the Patient's Brain

In India, doctors have taken a 1.8kg tumor from the head of a 31-year-old man, which may be the biggest tumor of someone's body in history.

This operation was conducted of Sunnal Lal on February 14 at Mumbai's National Hospital and took seven hours.

Though it was not announced so far because doctors did not know whether the operation was successful or not.

"The matter is now under health, but they are out of danger," said Trinity Nirmakran, Chief of Neurosurgist at the hospital.

Sunnat Lal is a shopkeeper and lives in Uttar Pradesh. For the past three years, he was living with this rare disease.

The doctors say that due to Tumor, Sunnat Lal was losing his eyesight and he hoped that the patient's eyesight would return.

Sunnt Lal's wife told the newspaper that she had consulted with three doctors in different hospitals and they told, that the operation could not be done.

Dr Tertrint Nadirani said that such cases are very sensitive. He said that 11 units of blood was given to the patient during operation and he was kept on ventilators for several days after surgery.
